4-H Achievement Day in Stockville

Jacob Brennemann and Colleen Melvin were named the 2011 4-H King and Queen at the 4-H Achievement Day in Stockville, Sunday, November 6, 2011, with over sixty people in attendance. Jacob Brennemann has been a 4-H member for nine years. He is the son of Bruce and Angel Brennemann of Curtis. Colleen Melvin is the daughter of Steve and Cindy Melvin of Curtis. She has been a 4-H member for 10 years.

Senior attendants were Nathan Lashley of Curtis and Juanita Snow of Eustis. Junior attendants were Hayden Rupe and Leigh-Anne Lehmann of Eustis.

Special awards were presented to Jessica Deterding, and Leigh Anne Lehmann in the area of Family & Consumer Science by the Family Community Education Council. These were the top winners in the Intermediate and Junior Divisions, respectfully.

The members who participated at the State PASE/Life Challenge Event receiving awards were Rachel Jack, Katie Jack, Jessica Deterding, Colleen Melvin, Joleen Rupe, Mary Storm, Jordan Deterding, Anson Hueftle and Aaron Hueftle.

Awards for purple ribbons of the county Family and Consumer Science Web Quiz were presented to Seniors Emilee McCurdy, Joleen Rupe, Jessica Deterding, Juanita Snow, Molly Jones, Marissa Foster, Tate Lueth and Juniors Leigh-Anne Lehmann, Kenzie Bartruff, Sara Pleschourt, Samantha Jack, and Riley Eisenhauer.

An award was given to Dannyl Bromander for her participation in the State Horse Show.

The team consisting of Riley Eisenhauer, Alex Ellermeier, Rachel Lashley, and Tate Leuth that competed in the Horticulture Judging Contest and the Tree ID Contest at the State Fair received awards.

Special Recognition Award was given to Juanita Snow for participating in the State Fashion Revue at the State Fair.

Leigh-Anne Lehmann of Eustis received the Ella Lenz Memorial Award for Excellent Clothing Construction and 4-H Record Keeping.

The Rex and Rebecca Shields Memorial Award for Outstanding 4-H Leadership was awarded to Catherine Snow of Eustis.

The Continuing Service Award was presented to Cindy Melvin of Curtis to honor her for her support and dedication to the 4-H Program throughout the years.

Stephanie Scharf received the Alumni Award and the Extra Mile Award went to Jo Bek of Curtis.

Anson Hueftle of Eustis was named Outstanding 4-H’er of 2011. He has been a member of 4-H for eleven years.

Dannyl Bromander and Riley Eisenhauer received their 4-H Diamond Clover Awards.

The 2011 County Award Winners were for Fashion Revue – Jessica Deterding, Leigh Anne Lehmann, Riley Eisenhauer, Juanita Snow, and Emilee McCurdy; Beef – Riley Eisenhauer; Achievement – Aaron Hueftle, Ag Achievement – Anson Hueftle; Citizenship – Isaac Hueftle; Clothing – Jessica Deterding; Community Service – Aaron Hueftle; Companion Animal – Matthew Blender; Food & Nutrition – Leigh-Anne Lehmann; Gardening –Jessica Deterding; Horse – Dannyl Bromander; Judging – Anson Hueftle; Leadership – Jacob Brennemann; Poultry – Micky Blender; Sheep – Riley Eisenhauer; and Shooting Sports –Sheldon Johnsen.
