Last Friday, the Raiders brought their regular season to a close as they traveled to Eustis to take on the Eustis-Farnam Knights.
The first half got off to a slow start, with both teams only putting up 11-points. In the second quarter, the Raiders would start to turn up the pressure, and push the offense to put up 21-points to the Knights 12-points.
To start the second half, the Raiders would come out in full force once again putting up 20-points, while holding the Knights to 9. The fourth quarter would find the teams in a closer battle as Medicine Valley only outscored Eustis-Farnam by 2-points, 19-17. The Raiders would go on to win the game 71-49.
Chase Barthel led the scoring for the Raiders as he put up 18-points. Brendan Johnsen would add an additional 15-points. Rebounding was led by Barthel who pulled down 10-rebounds. Johnsen brought down 8-reounds.
This week, the Raiders start D2-10 Sub-District play in Cambridge. On Tuesday, the Raiders will face the Wauneta-Palisade Broncos at 7:00 pm. The winner of this game will play on Thursday, in Cambridge at 7:00pm, while the loser’s season will come to an end.
