On Tuesday, the Raiders traveled to Cambridge where they faced the Wauneta-Palisade Broncos in the D2-10 Sub-District game.
To start the first half, the Broncos came out with an early jump on the Raiders, taking the 11-13 lead at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter found a turn as the Raiders outscored Wauneta-Palisade 17-13, and took the 28-26 lead going into halftime.
The beginning of the first half found both teams putting up a high number of points. Medicine Valley put up 16-points in the third quarter, while the Broncos put up 26. In the fourth quarter, it was a nail biter, with the lead going back and forth till the end when they were tied at 64 to take the game to overtime. Wauneta-Palisade came out with a jump, ready to close the game as they put up 14-points to claim the 70-78 victory over the Raiders.
Coach Gleisberg pointed out that the Raiders had 28 turnovers in the game and that the Broncos made 17 of their 23 free throws and 9 three pointers and Medicine Valley was still in the game.
Chase Barthel led scoring for the Raiders putting up 27-points. Lucas Gleisberg added an additional 21-points. Rebounding was led by Gleisberg who brought in 15-rounds. Barthel added 6-rebounds.
