Who we are:The Frontier County Enterprise is the only newspaper in the world that puts Frontier County first. Founded in 1886 the newspaper is the oldest continuing business in Frontier County. As the legal newspaper in Frontier County, local news is our business. But we are not able to be everywhere at once. If you see a news event occurring snap a picture, if you hear about something that is about to occur let us know. We will do our best to get it in the paper. Through the years the newspapers have been recognized on both the state and national level. Most recently the newspaper won a First Place Award for Best Feature Photo for newspapers with a cirulation less than 2,000 in the 2004 National Newspaper Association's Better Newspaper Contest. So when you want to find out what is happening in Frontier County, Nebraska there is only one place to turn, the Frontier County Enterprise. The staff:Bob and Tori Willis are the publishers of the Frontier County Enterprise. The couple have two children. Though they had no newspaper or small town experience prior to buying the Enterprise, they have quickly come to love Frontier County. In their life prior to the newspaper Bob was in the software business and Tori was a stay at home Mom. Bob is originally from Scottsdale, Arizona while Tori is a Grand Island native. Keith Gronewold is the Editor and he also does our books. So if you have a story suggestion or a question about your bill he is the one to call. Colleen Ehlers is the longest tenured employee at the newspaper; her 10th anniversary of employment was reached this August. Colleen has four children and seven grand children. Colleen spends her time here at the paper babysitting the other employees and ensuring we spell everything correctly. Sharon Park handles all of our classified ads as well as the society news. She is married and has three daughters. This is Sharon's second go-around at the paper and we hope she stays a long time. Philip Senff is our sports editor.
